Description

This ready-to-connect ignition protection system from T&B is ideal for small extraction systems such as mobile dust collectors.

The system automatically detects and extinguishes sparks that are already present in the exhaust system, preventing them from entering the filter and possible fires or explosions.

It should be noted that this system complies with EN 16770 (Annex B), which requires a mandatory anti-ignition system to prevent fire.

Automatic extinguishing system: Infeed 3 bar, 60 l/min, DN25

Cable length for spark detectors: 10 m

Minimum distance between spark detectors and automatic extinguishing system
at max. airflow velocities of 20 m/s:

  1. DN100 – 1,50 m
  2. DN200 – 1,85 m
  3. DN300 – 2,20 m
  4. DN400 – 2,60 m

Installation

Plant operators can easily perform on-site installation including:

  1. Carrying out the electrical connection and protective grounding.
  2. Installation of detectors and extinguishing nozzles in the exhaust line.
  3. Connection of the water supply for the automatic fire extinguishing system to the existing water pipes.
  4. Connections for signalling, e.g. to a control room, are also included.
